Makdous is a traditional Levantine delicacy made just as it’s always been—by hand, in small batches, with love (and a lot of garlic). Our eggplants are grown in the sun-drenched soil of Qaa, a rural village nestled at the foot of the Anti-Lebanon mountains. Handpicked and sun-dried, each eggplant is carefully stuffed with a flavorful mix of walnuts, garlic, and sweet pepper before being preserved in sunflower oil.
Made by a family-run cooperative led by the Wehbé family, this is the real deal—just like you’d find in a teta’s kitchen.

Baby eggplants, sunflower oil, sweet pepper, walnuts, garlic and salt.

Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, ensure eggplants are fully submerged in oil. Use within 10 days of opening. Allergens: Contains walnuts, may contain sesame.
