Our traditional Makdous just got a spicy kick.
Made with the same recipe we love, this new version adds chili pepper to the classic filling for a little extra heat.
Our eggplants are grown in the sun-drenched soil of Qaa, a rural village nestled at the foot of the Anti-Lebanon mountains. Handpicked, each eggplant is carefully stuffed with walnuts, garlic, sweet pepper, and chili pepper before being preserved in olive oil.
Made by a family-run cooperative led by the Wehbé family, this is the real deal - just with a little more heat.
Makdous is traditionally cured in salt before being stuffed and preserved in oil, giving it its signature savoury, slightly salty flavour. Best enjoyed alongside bread, labneh, or as part of a mezze spread.

Baby eggplants, olive oil, sweet pepper, walnuts, garlic, chili pepper and salt. Allergens Contains walnuts. May contain sesame.

Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, ensure eggplants are fully submerged in oil. Use within 10 days of opening.
